Um.. well If I have to choose.. I guess I choose Constitutional Monachy. These days I am wondering how much we actually need politicians.

Get real! If we were to show any signs of becoming a republic, can you seriously imagine all the ex-pols, greasy-pole-climbers and the like voting to abolish this glorious "top job"??
It would become a straight choice between Liz or her successors and the equivalent of Blair.
Rationality and politics are not good bedfellows.

It's always presented as a bi-lateral choice, Liz or Blair. This is of course, not the case.
None of the above is surely the rational position, simply abolish the post.
