The greatest comedian ever - on judges
Tuesday, May 06, 2008
I am deeply indebted to NHS Blog Doctor for having found on YouTube a film that I did not know existed of Peter Cook performing his "Judge/Miner Monologue". Apropos of nothing in particular, here it is.
Stop Common Purpose
If you don't know what Common Purpose is, I suggest you find out.
Common Purpose is a corrupt organisation which must be stopped:

In particular, consider how they have corrupted the British police:

Well I guess to avoid having egg on my face I should have listened to the whole video instead of just the first bit before making my comment. Obviously he took the idea of the judging/Latin/mining before or after this and fleshed it out into Sitting on the Bench.
Crawling back under my rock now.

Well thank you TP, for bringing this to my attention. I remember this well. Beyond the Fringe and this skit, Sitting on the Bench. I once wrote a post on my blog, based on my memory of it and the fact that I studied The Latin for many years. For you see I too could have been a Judge, for I definitely had The Latin, unlike the regretful Peter Cook. But instead I used it in Pharmacy instead, well not much but a little.
