Link: NHS may deny care to woman over Avastin - Telegraph.
Our Government does not believe in the death penalty for murder or even treason. However, it is ready to sentence a woman to death if she pays for a drug which the National Health Service cannot afford. Her crime, according to a spokesman from the Department of Health is:
"direct contravention with (sic) the principles and values of the NHS"
You could not make this stuff up.
They claim they don't want to create a two-tier NHS. But we've already got one! MORE than one even. Free prescriptions for all in Wales. Anti-Cancer drugs only available to Scots in Scotland. And now we are being told that if you are English and paying for Cancer drugs available elesewhere (Scotland perhaps?) then you will lose ALL your entitlement to NHS care!
