Link: Saddam Hussein executed | Iraq | Guardian Unlimited.
Most of the world's tyrants die in their beds; their lives an encouragement to others to try their wicked path to wealth and power. Saddam Hussein did no good in his life. Perhaps, by the manner of his death, he may turn some would-be tyrant from his path? Let's hope so.
The time of the tyrant like Saddam is now almost at a close. As these people die off they will be replaced by commitees, religious leaders or democracies.
No one need to be discouraged and the existing tyrants are all making preparations.
All the speed of the trial and execution was to stop him talking.

The head says yes, he deserved it. The heart is not so convinced. It may deter others. Who knows?

Hey Chuckee, don't leave me in my benighted state. Explain why my comment was stupid.
